A Word from Julie

Hi. My name is Julie and have been working in the office at Jumbunna for about 7 years now, although my association started about 16 years ago when my eldest son, Victor, attended Jumbunna when he was 3yrs old due to speech delay. As siblings tend to copy each other, his brothers followed in his footsteps and also attended the Centre.  For some of those years, I was involved in the Management Committee as Secretary and helped out with a number of fundraisers for Jumbunna during that time.  My boys are now 19, 17 and 12years old and still talk about the things they did at Jumbunna and/or the staff members they connected with.

I love my work in the office, talking to the children and the families that come through the door each day. Seeing the children change and grow in confidence over the year, hearing their delight and funny comments about what they have been doing, different things around the foyer or out in the playground.  While the work we do here in the office is similar each day, it can be as varied as the families, the programs that we support and at times the challenges we help to solve
