A Word from Karen

Cherylyn Yates

Cherylyn Yates will be sadly missed by the Jumbunna community. Cherylyn dedicated her time and heart to support Jumbunna for many years. Many people saw her as the president for 13 years, however were not aware of the other support she gave us. Cherylyn supported me in the Parent Infant Group and Supported playgroups on a weekly basis. She attended each week to assist me in supporting vulnerable families and children with additional needs. Cherylyn also took the leading role as Fundraiser in her years with Jumbunna, raising much needed funds through roadside appeals, raffles, organised events and other various ways.

Cherylyn gave her time freely, but did not desire the public recognition, however our respect for her was so great that we nominated her in the first Annual Sector Awards for her dedication to Jumbunna. It was a proud moment to watch her receive her award. Cherylyn continued her support of Jumbunna right to the end, asking for no flowers at her funeral, instead donations to go to Jumbunna.

We would like Graeme, Emma, Andrew, Cameron, Taylor and their families to know our thoughts are with them at this sad time.

Robyn Townsend

We now have in our foyer, in pride of place, a remembrance plaque for Robyn, who was the founder of Jumbunna. We all miss her passion, dedication and the great leader she was. Robyn will always be remembered in Casino for the significant impact she has had on the children and families.

Join My Family

Register for My Family Lounge in 3 Simple Steps

Step 1

For NEW families to My Family Lounge, click on the REGISTER button on the right. You will then be taken through a registration process to create your MFL account. For families with existing MFL accounts, skip to step 2!

Step 2

Log into your MFL account and tell us about you, your child and what bookings you are after so we can help you out.

Step 3

If you have requested permanent bookings, we will come back to you within 48hours and advise if we have a spot available for your child. If we have a spot, we will email you an offer and ask you to accept the offer and complete and submit the Enrolment form in the MFL portal.
