A Word from Rachel

Hi. My name is Rachel

I have been working with Jumbunna just a little over five years. I really enjoy working with the children. Jarjums can be very challenging which makes each day at very rewarding.

All the staff are wonderful to work with. I find coming to work enjoyable and a wonderful place to be, as we all work together as a team. My time with Jumbunna started when I was 4 years old. This is where my mother started me as I had trouble with my speech. I’m living proof they do a great job here. I  enjoyed coming here as a child as I do now.

I’m a local Bundgalung woman who takes pride in working with my community. I’d like all our jarjums/children to have the same opportunities as each other, so they can reach their full potential. I

I love my job and I’m grateful that I got the opportunity to do my Cert111 through Jumbunna and work such a great team of people. I find that from my time here I have got a lot more confidence within myself. I really enjoy  all the new people I meet, the family’s of the jarjums/children and spending time helping the jarjums interact with each other.
